Petrine K. Lillevold Vinje
24 November - 1 January 2012
In Petrine K. Lillevold Vinjes artistic career she reflects on the use of the visual language, the power of the image and tradtitions that survive, but who has lost their realtionship to their origins. Through the interpretations of key visual elements from western art history and society she attaches new stories - and thus creates new contexts. The distance between the conceptual starting point and the materiality of her work confirms them as designs for a new, imaginary history.
Petrine K. Lillevold Vinje (b. 1980) lives andworks in Oslo. She studied at the Art Academy in Oslo, the School of Visual Arts, department of color, as well as the Oslo Drawing and Painting School.
